Dr. Felipe Luis Palombini is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Industrial Design from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) in Santa Maria (Brazil), and a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Graduate Program of Design (PGDesign) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in Porto Alegre (Brazil). Felipe Palombini received his M.Sc. and his Ph.D. in the Graduate Program in Design (PGDesign/UFRGS) and was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Graduate Program of Botany (PPGBot/UFRGS). His main research topics are focused on bionics, sustainability, design, and materials selection and characterization via Finite Element Analysis and X-ray Microtomography. He is also associated with the Design and Computer Simulation Research Group (DSC/UFRGS), and the Plant Anatomy Laboratory (LAVeg/UFRGS).


Dr. Fernanda Mayara Nogueira is a Researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of Plants from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences, and Letters at Ribeirao Preto (FFCLRP) - University of Sao Paulo (USP). Fernanda Nogueira received her M.Sc. and her Ph.D. in the Graduate Program of Botany (PPGBot) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Has experience in the area of plant anatomy and plant morphology with an emphasis on reproductive morphology. Has an interest in the following topics: floral development, reproductive morphology, bioimaging, 3D technologies, and X-ray microtomography.
