Autor

Ian Fleming (1908-1964) was a British author, journalist, and naval intelligence officer, best known for creating the iconic character James Bond. Born into a wealthy family, Fleming was educated at Eton, Sandhurst, and later the universities of Munich and Geneva. During World War II, he worked for British Naval Intelligence, experiences that heavily influenced his writing of the James Bond novels. Fleming began his literary career with Casino Royale in 1953, which introduced the suave, action-packed world of 007. Over the course of his life, he wrote 12 Bond novels and two short story collections, blending espionage, glamour, and danger. Fleming also wrote the children's classic Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang. His legacy endures as his works became the foundation for one of the most successful film franchises in history.
